Class Caps & Waitlists
Set a Capacity Limit and Let MyAT Manage the Rest
Class Caps let you set a maximum student count for any class. Once that limit is reached, new students are automatically placed on a waitlist instead of being enrolled. When a spot opens up, you can promote the next person in line with a single click. No overbooking, no manual gatekeeping, no awkward conversations about full classes.
How Class Caps & Waitlists Work:
- Set a maximum student count on any class in your MyAT account.
- When a class is full, additional students who register are automatically placed on the waitlist queue.
- You see the waitlist clearly in your class view — names, position in queue, and when they registered.
- When a spot opens, promote the next person on the waitlist in one click and they're enrolled.
- Waitlisted students don't count toward your active student limit.
Fully Integrated with Self-Registration
Class Caps work hand-in-hand with Student Self-Registration. When a student uses your registration link to sign up for a class that's already at capacity, they're added to the waitlist automatically — no intervention needed from you. The registration form even tells them the class is full and confirms their spot on the waitlist so expectations are clear from the start.
No More Overbooking or Manual Enforcement
Before class caps, keeping a class from filling past its limit meant tracking enrollment manually, turning people away one by one, and maintaining a separate waitlist in a spreadsheet. MyAT handles all of that for you. The cap is enforced automatically at the point of registration, and the waitlist is managed in the same place as your attendance — no extra tools required.
